My entire family comes from Louisiana, so being a full blooded Cajun I discovered early on that I had a passion for cooking and baking. I always loved watching my grandmother in the kitchen. Hello! I am Michael Salmons, Owner and Founder of Theriot Market LLC. I have always been fascinated by the food industry. My entire family comes from Louisiana, so being a full blooded Cajun I discovered early on that I had a passion for cooking and baking. I always loved watching my grandmother in the kitchen. When I entered High School I took my first culinary arts class and it made me love food even more. I wasn’t always the best in school so getting into college did not seem right for me. Sadly after graduating school my passion for cooking dwindled. It wasn’t until I settled down and got married to my husband my passion for cooking and baking was re-ignited. Now I am fine tuning my craft and here we are, now starting my own business.

When it comes to the logo for the business. After thinking long and hard on the subject, the one thing I kept coming back to was a tree. But which tree you ask? Well the one I feel like suits us best is the willow tree. Known for being a symbol of fertility and new life, Its ability to grow and survive can be very reminiscent of how one can thrive even in challenging conditions. This also reminded me of the day I got married to my wonderfully amazing husband, as we planted a willow tree during our ceremony. I think this helped add an amazing personal touch to the logo.
